A Quick Look At Morris’ Missing Case:

In 2014, Christina Morris vanished on August 30. On surveillance footage taken at Plano’s The Shops at Legacy, she was last seen alive. One of Christina Morris’ friends, Steven Nickerson, described to Dateline’s Josh Mankiewicz how Christina Morris made the decision to drive home at about 3:30 a.m. on August 30, 2014.

Nickerson claims that Morris and some friends went out drinking in Plano, Texas. Being relatively sober, she made the decision to drive. The 23-year-old was photographed walking into the parking garage of the upscale suburban shopping center with her friend, Enrique Arochi.

Morris had relocated to Fort Worth and was coming back for the long weekend of Labor Day. At 3:55 a.m., Morris and Arochi were seen on CCTV after a night out. Arochi’s 2010 Chevrolet Camaro was seen leaving the parking garage three minutes later, but Christina was never again seen. Police discovered her car in the same garage three days later.

Christina’s Boyfriend, Hunter Foster Was The Prime Suspect

Hunter Foster, Christina Morris’ boyfriend, was the first person the investigators suspected. He reportedly refused to cooperate with the investigation but later offered a credible alibi.

Foster even provided the names of two people he claimed to have been with the night Christina vanished. Further investigation led to the authorities eliminating him as a suspect. Later, data from mobile towers changed the situation.

He left the parking lot in his 2010 Chevrolet Camaro on the day Morris vanished; police found Morris and Arochi’s phones still nearby one hour later. Detectives later discovered a mat in Arochi’s car with Morris’ DNA on it in the trunk.

Based on the evidence, the police apprehended him three months later, charged him with aggravated kidnapping, and released him. In September 2016, the Arochi case trial got underway.

After 17 hours of deliberation and taking into account the evidence presented by the prosecution, the jury found him guilty of aggravated kidnapping in the 2014 disappearance of Christina Morris.

His defense attempted to disprove the prosecution’s case by asserting that the evidence was circumstantial and lacked “proof of what, when, where, or how.” Enrique Arochi was given a life sentence after being found guilty of all charges brought against him during the trial.

However, the missing person’s body or any other traces of her were still missing. The police, therefore, kept looking through Christina’s body.

In 2018, The Skeleton of Christina Morris Was Discovered

Two years after his sentence, the skeletal remains of Christina Morris were found in Anna, Texas, by construction workers in March 2018. During shrub trimming, Andy Mitchell, a team member, noticed a skull near a woman’s dress and undergarments. Prior to the discovery, Enrique Arochi maintained his innocence and claimed that Christina Morris was still alive and that his conviction was unjust.
