The Detroit Lions released a statement saying, “We are shocked and saddened to learn of the passing of former Detroit Lion Jessie Lemonier.” “Jessie was a wonderful young man and a great teammate who left us far too soon. Lemonier’s agent, Drew Smith of DEC Management, informed ESPN that he and his girlfriend were expecting a child. Lemonier, a native of Hialeah, Florida, initially signed with the Los Angeles Chargers as an undrafted free agent out of Liberty in 2020. He made two tackles while playing in six games.
